(From the Slings & Arrows Comic Guide)

An interesting but only partially successful comic about relationships, produced by a mixture of male and female cartoonists. The most talented cartoonists were certainly Gary Hallgren, Ted Richards, and Bobby London, but their material here is disappointingly trite. More interesting by far was Aline Kominsky’s crudely drawn “Fat Came Between Us” in #1 and “I Was a Teenage Intellekshul!,” a presumably autobiographical piece by the great Lee Marrs in #2. Quite a lot of the material was clearly designed to be shocking—Leslie Cabarga’s “Child Molester” in #2, for instance—but what once seemed far gone can leave a contemporary audience rather unsettled. ~DAR
