Deadly gas killed their fellow gang members on the crime-ridden streets of Paris Island, but that which killed others made this bunch strong. The Blood Syndicate is a gang consisting of nine super-powered teens. Among them are Flashback, who can travel back three seconds in time; Fade who can walk through walls and is not quite in our dimension; Third Rail, who grabs energy from any electrical force, and in turn becomes enormous and powerful; Brickhouse, a temperamental woman literally turned into a wall of bricks; Holocaust, who freely blasts fire; and Tek-9, a virtual fount of deadly firepower. Together they destroy the “white man’s poison” of drugs as the fellow survivors of Paris Island fear, hate, or admire them.

Are they heroes or villains? Milestone comics leaves it to the readers to decide for themselves. One thing is for sure: they’re a long way off from the Justice League.
