Captain Glory

Over a millennium ago, the Ninth Men had built a wondrous and advanced civilization. But like the eight other ages of man, these people knew that they had sown the seeds of their own destruction. Doomed themselves, they decided to place three of their kind in suspended animation for 150 centuries. Then they would emerge to meet the Tenth Men, and hopefully break the cycle of destruction.

15,000 years later, Night Glider, Bombast, and Captain Glory awoke under what is now the city of Chicago. To their great surprise, they found that they were not the only survivors from the Ninth Men—Chief Scientist Roag and General Ordiz had also plotted their escape from their civilization’s doom, along with a group of slavishly devoted followers. Now Captain Glory, who was once the greatest warrior of the Ninth Men, must save our race from both his own people, and from the humans of today.
