Matthew Hammond has experienced a wide range of emotions in his lifetime. He witnessed his mother murder his father and had to endure her institutionalization. He has absorbed the intoxication of adulation when other men blindly worshipped him. He finds himself leading a group of super–powered humans known as the Team. Some people would praise Hammond as a hero; others would curse him as a coward.

Emens Legion is someone that will willingly curse Hammond. Legion was one the first member of the Team project. His strength, durability and intelligence were greatly enhanced through artificial means. However, he is paying a heavy price for those abilities. Those treatments have gradually begun to destabilize his mind. He only waits for the day when can destroy his most hated enemy… Matthew Hammond. Manipulating both men to satisfy its own objectives is a god known as Gatu. If Gatu acquires far-reaching powers that no god can overcome nothing less than the soul of humanity will be at stake.
