A robotics engineer with a prosthetic arm. A devoted wife. A wheelchair-bound scientist. A spooky, sadistic government agent. All of these elements and more make up the premise for “Fused,” a giant robot/giant monster/government conspiracy adventure comic with lots of atmosphere. The story follows engineer Mark Hagerty as he becomes permanently bonded to a symbiotic robotics suit and is hunted by the government agency that wants the technology for its own nefarious reasons. One part Frankenstein, one part X-Files, “Fused” promises lots of action with just a touch of horror. File under the sub-sub-genre of armored super-hero in the tradition of classic shining knights like Marvel’s Iron Man, and DC’s Robotman from Doom Patrol.
