When Satoro accepts the Rune of Power from Master Lordojas, he becomes a wizard of the highest rank, known as a spellcaster.

Despite his newfound powers, he is unable to avert a tragedy. After returning from a mission to retrieve certain mystical objects, he discovers that his master and most of his peers have been murdered by the evil wizard Conthrada, ruler of the 9th Council of Necromancers.

With the power of the Helm of the Pharaohs, and the beautiful witch Tiamat at his side, Satoro must now hunt down Conthrada before the evil wizard carries out his plan to rule the world.
