The Adventures of Robin Hood

    (Gold Key, 1974-1975)
™ and ©1974 Walt Disney Productions

The adventures of the Disney version of everyone’s favorite rob-from-the-rich-and-give-to-the-poor hero continue in this short-lived series from Gold Key.

While King Richard is away, fighting in the Crusades, his brother, Prince John, is running England and taxing everything he can think of. Fortunately for the common man…er…animal, Robin Hood—with the help of his Merry Men—is keeping an eye on things and thwarting Prince John’s evil schemes at every turn. This series adds to the mythos established in the Disney film and turns on a number of the same jokes. Still, the artwork is gorgeous—very Disney-esque.
