Tales of the Terminal Diner
(Sonic, 2004)
™ and © Sonic
This spiffy, black and white anthology title from Sonic Publishing is hosted by would–be cartoonist Sam Levesque, who left his home in Moose Harbor, Maine, to pursue a career in the comic book industry. At his lowest point, when he was scavenging for food in dumpsters, he happened upon the the Rupa Ring of Atzlan, which connects him to Genie X, the proprietor and the nexus that is the Terminal Diner. The idea is that the Terminal Diner exists at the corner of Life and Fate, and every soul that passes through the door and sits down for a cuppa joe or plate o’ cheese fries has a story to tell—hence the theme of the anthology. Good stuff from both professional and amateur writers and artists.
