This slim preview edition offers sneak peeks of two of the hottest additions to the Knights line, at least in 2000. Half of the edition is devoted to a look at the Marvel Knights series, an anti-team-up book starring Dr. Strange, Punisher, Black Widow and Daredevil, and others, as written by Chuck Dixon (Batman, Robin), with art by Eduardo Barreto (New Teen Titans). The other half spotlights sketches and design roughs for the mini-series Marvel Boy, as drawn by J.G. Jones. This was one of Grant Morrison’s few works for Marvel before taking over the writing chores on X-Men. As preview comics go, it’s pretty thin on extras, although if you like seeing pencil sketches with a few remarks from the artist—as opposed to, say, a full-fledged teaser story designed to entice you to buy the comics themselves—then you’ll probably enjoy this.
