Kai is a half–Korean half–Caucasian boy with a magnetic presence. Sunil is a foreign exchange student from Korea, and the only girl in school who hasn’t dated Kai. Spike Washington is an aspiring, half –Korean, half–African American rap star and also happens to be Kai’s best friend. When Sunil and Spike’s paths cross, Spike is instantly attracted to Sunil, and asks Kai to ask her out for him. Naturally, their friendship is put to the test when Kai begins to wants Sunil for himself.

Things become even more complicated when Kai does a favor for a crime lord, and it looks as though he’s on his way towards fulfilling his career goal to become a gangster. Told against the backdrop of Manhattan, Kim Jea Eun’s Soul to Seoul hip–hop art style is original and captivating.
