Dan Cooney adds a few new wrinkles to the old “secret agent betrayed by their own organization” story with this 1997 series.

The title character is a beautiful assassin in the mold of La Femme Nikita, and whose love life is being torn apart by the demands of being a professional killer. Things only get worse when she’s sent in to clean up after a failed mission and retrieve a computer disk from a gang of thugs. No sooner has she burst through a window and dispatched the goons than a new batch rushes in to ambush her. It’s then that she begins to suspect the true importance of the disk—as well as that her own people have set her up!
