The Mutant Registration Act resulted in the end of all super–hero activity, with virtually all the heroes, mutant or otherwise, either killed, imprisoned, or driven into hiding… but that is all about to change…

Collecting the first issues of the “2099” versions of Daredevil, Black Panther, Inhumans, Punisher, and Mutant 2099, this story details the advent of a new heroic age, in a dark future where even the so–called normal population lives in fear of their overlords, the mutant–killing robot Sentinels. Of course, new heroes always mean new villains, and the world of 2099 is no exception. Unfortunately, in the case of some of the characters, the relationship between the good guys and the bad guys is a little too close for comfort…
