Prophet/Cable

    (Maximum, 1997)
™ and ©1997 Rob Liefeld, Inc. and Marvel Comics, Inc.

This two-issue series is based on the convenient alliances between heroes and villains who join up with their counterparts in the other comic universes based on mutual interests.

For those without a scorecard, the game goes like this. In the Image universe, Crypt hates his fellow time-ravager Prophet. Meanwhile in Marveldom, Kang the Conqueror is none too fond of Cable. More importantly, Kang wants the Cosmic Cube, which Cable has safely stowed away. Using combinations of teleporters and time travel, Crypt captures Domino (Cable’s friend), and uses her to draw in Cable and Prophet. Much fighting ensues, and in the end, both Kang and Crypt might be much better off if they heeded the caution “be careful what you wish for.”
