Dracula Lives! (Magazine)

In the early 70s, horror was all the rage in the cinema as the famous British film production company, Hammer, churned out multiple such movies starring Christopher Lee. Marvel, never one to miss an opportunity, capitalized on the theatrical success with the Tomb of Dracula comic book. Unfortunately, with the Comics Code still in effect, the extreme blood-sucking action of the Hammer films had to be curtailed, which was why Marvel created this magazine, thereby bypassing the Comics Code regulations which specifically targeted comic-sized productions, and allowed its creators free reign to explore more mature subject matters concerning the famed vampire.
