Aliens: Stalker
(Dark Horse, 1998)
™ and ©1986, 1998 Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation
After numerous Aliens series, it’s good to see that the franchise has not run out of steam. This is due in large part to the efforts of creative folks like David Wenzel.
Working as both artist and writer, Wenzel gives us a worthy tale of the Aliens set in Viking times. A rogue Alien called “the Crawler” had laid waste to numerous villagers, and a hunting party of berzerkers had been assembled to hunt it down. They were led by Rainulf the Wraith-Stalker, a local mystic who had a personal stake in killing the Alien. Armed only with axes and swords, this foolishly brave party was about to take on one of the deadliest creatures on any world…but, as always, the monsters of the two-legged variety may be the most dangerous to turn your back on.
