Dragonlance: The Legend of Huma

    (Devil’s Due, 2004-2005, 2007)
™ and © 2003 Wizards of the Coast

This adaptation of the Wizards of the Coast game of the same name is on par with the fantasy formula—there are the obligatory goblins, ogres, dragons and other monsters, plus the errant knight on a quest. The book succeeds, however, in bringing more of a story to the property without being strictly a commercial for sales of the cards and other game items. Huma is a member of a nearly religious order of knights who becomes separated from his unit. Lost and alone in enemy territory, the knight bravely faces a horde of goblins in order to free their captive—a Minotaur! Considered the enemy of Men, the Minotaur vows to pay his debt to Huma and the two set off on a grand adventure with an uneasy alliance binding them together.
