Silverhawks

This innocuous kid’s series was based on a Rankin/Bass cartoon show. The Silverhawks are a group of spacefaring cyborgs that live on a world called Hawkhaven. Led by Commander Stargazer, they are able to fly across space to take on the bad guys, who are always pulling off impractical jewel heists, extortion, and other miscellaneous misdeeds. The chief of the bad guys in Mon*Star, who can pump himself up into an armored configuration when supplied with enough power.

Similar in tone to Masters of the Universe, the Silverhawks lasted just seven issues before they were abruptly cancelled in 1988.
