It came from outer space, in crystal form, in a spaceship whose lone occupant was an infant. The power source would respond to the desires of any person near it; unfortunately, its energies were impossible to harness, and killed everyone who tried to wield them. Then a breakthrough, and a new challenge: one man lifted the crystal and it merged with him. As his world turned upside down, the men attempting to unlock the crystal’s secret faced a bigger problem than ever before.

The story seems to shift through different places and different times, as though every scene is filtered through a different facet of the crystal. An intriguing tale of mystery and power by Sara Barnes and Travel Foreman.
