Beauty and the Beast was a cult sensation as a TV show, adapting the old fairy tale by the same name for a modern audience. The beauty in this case is Catherine Chandler, a successful corporate lawyer who was brutally attacked and left for dead. She was taken in and nursed back to health by Vincent, a strange, elegant, and gentle man who lived with others in a secret city underneath the subways of New York. Vincent appeared to be half-lion, half-man, but his inner nobility and romantic nature won the heart of Catherine.

This six-issue series adapts the television pilot starring Linda Hamilton (“Sarah Connor” in The Terminator) and Ron Perlman as Vincent. The series was adapted for comics by Mike Campiti and Cynthy J. Wood, with airbrushed art by Mike Deodato.
