This mini-series reprints the immortal comic classic, IronWolf. One of Howard Chaykin’s earliest works, IronWolf originally appeared in Weird Worlds #8, and ran until that title’s conclusion with issue #10 in 1974. This 1986 special collected the entire IronWolf saga for the first time.

IronWolf is the noble leader of a planet that grows an unusual type of tree. The wood from these trees defies gravity and, therefore, are excellent material to use when building spacecraft. The empress of the system covets this unique resource and wants to take control of IronWolf’s forests. The hero refuses, which causes an interplanetary war and makes IronWolf into an outlaw. IronWolf is a classic tale of a society member’s fall from grace, and his realization of the poor man’s plight.
