Black Hood

The Hood gives its owner the power to move quickly and with confidence, but also curses the owner with the obsession to do only good. A teenager, Nathan Cray, first encounters the Hood when he and a friend unwisely try to rob the Hood’s first owner, Wayne Sidmonson. Instead, Cray watches as Sidmonson is brutally killed. He steals the Hood and flees.

Giles “Hit” Coffee, who murdered Sidmonson hunts down the boys and ends up himself enslaved by the Hood. He becomes obsessed with doing good even though he had previously possessed only the will to do evil. This brand of strange interplay between good and evil keeps this title interesting.
