Ragman: Cry of the Dead

    (DC, 1993-1994)
DC

Ragman is Rory Regan, a man who wears a suit composed of a patchwork of rags. Each of these rags is a human soul, stolen from an evildoer and compelled to serve the cause of good at his bidding.

Cry of Dead takes Rory to New Orleans, city of jazz, Mardi Gras, and voodoo. There he encounters a dread spirit known as Marinette which flies from body to body, driving each one touched to commit ghastly murders. As Ragman, he tries to stop its evil, only to find himself fighting an opponent capable of devouring the souls in his rags as a snack. In this six-part story of pain, vengeance, and the supernatural, Ragman must find a way to stop Marinette before she tears apart the lives of those closest to him.
