Renegade Press originally presented the life and times of Colonel Kilgore in a short-run black-and-white series in 1987. His adventures are reprinted here in a new series from Special Studio (along with a stated intent to add on three new full-length adventures).

How do you categorize Kilgore? Hero? Joker? War comic? Comedy? Even the creators don’t know exactly. He was an army colonel running San Francisco harbor defenses during World War II, but the war wasn’t going to stop him from living life the way he wanted—a life filled with plenty of booze and plenty of women!
