Silver Surfer (Vol. 2)

Galactus’ first and greatest herald is back to brood his way through another tale of cosmic proportions. This time around, John Byrne is at the helm for both plots and pencils in a tragedy that would cause the Greeks to pause. Dialogue for this passion play is delivered by none other than the inimitable and verbose Stan “The Man” Lee.

Seeking freedom from the prison called Earth, the Silver Surfer turns to Reed Richards to help him escape confines of our world. Will he actually succeed this time? And if so, what wonders await him in the vast expanse of space. With more flashbacks than fistfights, this is a yarn sure to test your vocabulary. But have no fear, true believers, this wouldn’t be a Silver Surfer story if there wasn’t at least one colossal, cosmic, “shake the Earth to its core,” knock-down, drag-out battle between ultrapowerful beings. ’Nuff said.
