Legacy

When the Protector, Earth’s superhuman hero, realizes he is dying, and that he must find a replacement. His chosen successor, Legacy, proved unable to handle the job, and so, the Protector holds a worldwide lottery to find a replacement.

The winners must travel to Venture Island to collect their prize, but unfortunately the Protector died with only a fraction of the new superhumans “activated.” Now the others await spontaneous activation, a process which kills many.

The superpowered humans and other lottery winners gather around Legacy as crisis looms. Protector’s old foes, like Cademous Zark, hope to seize possession of Venture Island, while the U.S. government seeks to reclaim the island for its own use. The heroes are willing to face down even the U.S. military to protect the island.

But just how far will a shadowy government operative named Henderdon go to retake the island? And can the heroes left behind ever live up to the legacy of the Protector?
