Conan the Destroyer
(Marvel, 1985)
™ and ©1985 Conan Properties, Inc.
Conan, the sword-wielding barbarian, has accepted the role of bodyguard for a young girl, who is on a quest for a mystical talisman. Taramis, queen of Shadizar, has promised Conan his own kingdom, and the resurrection of his dead love, Valeria, if he helps the girl retrieve the ancient horn of the god Dagoth. With the horn, the queen hopes to revive the dormant god, and rule with him as his immortal consort.
But Taramis has lied to both the girl and Conan. The barbarian is marked for death once the horn is retrieved, and it is the young girl’s fate to be sacrificed during the revival of Dagoth. Conan, however, has never been one to accept a preordained destiny, and with the help of his comrades-in-arms, he manages to foil Taramis’ plots and defeat the newly awakened god.
The two-issue series is based on the second Conan movie, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
