Snappy Sammy Smoot first appeared back in various underground comix in the 60s and 70s. This dandy bon vivant has the innocence and naiveté of Candide combined with the vocabulary of William F. Buckley. Throughout the years he has experimented with drugs, been (almost) married to Thelma Louise Bobbit, and gotten into just about every type of trouble there is. But throughout it all, he remains unflappable, even while all around him is going to heck in a handbasket.

This 1995 one-shot from Skip Williamson reprints many of Sammy’s early adventures from National Lampoon, Comix Book, Chicago 606, and other alternative publications. These are combined with new adventures by Skip Williamson, as well as other interpretations by a variety of artists.
