Rock Fantasy

In this series real-life rock stars, primarily Brits such as Ozzy Osbourne, Mick Jagger, Kate Bush, Mick Fleetwood, and, yes, David Bowie, are dressed up in super-hero costumes and given their own universe in which to fight evil. The narrative is interspersed with lyrics by the artist in question.

In the David Bowie installment, for instance, “Ziggy” must use his powers of interdimensional travel, flight, and energy projection to battle a demon-dragon who has imprisoned the souls of such dead rock stars as Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix. During a meeting of the Council of Elders at the Castle of Evermore, Ziggy defeated the dragon, which was then transformed in one of Ozzy’s more prominent tattoos. His work done, Ziggy metamorphosed back into David, his human self, who retained little memory of what has happened.
