DV8 was created as the antithesis to Gen13…a deviation from the norm, if you will. While Gen13 focuses on the fairly raucous adventures of a generally happy-go-lucky group of young super-heroes, DV8 is a darker, grittier, more serious take on the teen book. Copycat, Frostbite, Evo, Sublime, Powerhaus, Threshold, and Bliss were given their abilities by Project Genesis, the same group that activated Gen13. Now they work for Ivana Baiul, a bitter, former employee of the project’s Internal Operations who sets the kids up in swanky penthouse digs and showers them with money to do her bidding. She uses the kids to muck up the efforts of various government intelligence organizations, like the CIA and the FBI. And she’s interested in seeing how these youngsters, who have spent most of their lives in Project Genesis will deal with the outside world…and how the outside world will deal with them.
