Spider-Man: Son of the Goblin
(Marvel, 2004)
™ and © Marvel Entertainment Group
The Green Goblin has always been one of Spider-Man’s most dangerous enemies, since he was one of the few who knew the identity of the man behind the mask. When Norman Osborn was succeeded in the role by his son Harry, Peter Parker’s problems got even worse, for Harry was also his best friend. This collection chronicles the history of the Harry Osborn Goblin, from his first meeting with Spider-Man to—perhaps—his final one. Throughout their battles, Harry wavers between lucidity and insanity, while Parker tries to avoid hurting his friend while protecting his loved ones. It’s a delicate battle, and one which can’t help but claim some victims.
Stories are lifted from Amazing and Spectacular Spider-Man comics, featuring scripts by Gerry Conway, David Michelinie, and J.M. DeMatteis, and art by Ross Andru, Todd McFarlane, and Sal Buscema.
