Inspired by the numerous EC comics it emulates, Eclipse’s Tales of Terror features endless twists on tales of murder and revenge, sometimes with a socially relevant message (and sometimes not). An anthology that is much more hit than miss, this series is haunted by vengeful ghosts, animated stuffed teddy bears, murderous unfaithful lovers, and abusive parents getting their due. In most stories, these guilty parties received what they have coming to them, often in violent, grisly ways.

This book features the top comics talent of its time, including work by Chuck Dixon, Steve Bissette, David Lloyd, Bruce Jones, John Bolton, and Sam Keith.
