Nicholas Lone is the son of Anton Lone, a millionaire who spent his entire life in the pursuit of money and pleasure—regardless of who it hurt. This included visiting “pleasure domes” where runaway children were abused for rich old men’s pleasure. And it also included an “accident” that was no accident for his son Nicholas, and a strange operation that turned Nicholas into something more than human…

Nicholas is now better known as Solitaire, an avenger of the weak and helpless. Like Valiant’s Bloodshot, Nicholas has a bloodstream filled with nanites—micro machines—that stitch his body together after nearly any injury. With this power—and a collection of high-powered weaponry—Nicholas is out to prove that he is definitely not his father’s son.
