Fillerbunny

Lovable, doomed Fillerbunny started out, surprisingly enough, as filler between two pages in the trade paperback collection of Jhonen Vasquez’s SQUEE! Later on, his status was codified as a character created solely for our amusement—and what could be more amusing than schadenfreude? Throughout his comics and in the name of the reader, Fillerbunny is shot, stabbed, clubbed, subject to experimental drugs and surgery, and forced to ride a flying hot dog into the burning embrace of the sun. Occasionally, the powers that be grant him a companion, but in turn they quickly prove to be undesirable (such as “Aborto”) or short–lived indeed. Through all this, Vasquez interjects with occasional appearances, cryptic asides and just plain randomness (and random expletives).
