First Image launched a self-parody of the creator’s departure from Marvel Comics with Splitting Image. Now, Hillary Barton’s Stupid takes aim at some of the Image titles themselves.

The first issue is an elaborate jab at Todd McFarlane’s Spawn. In the course of the story, it pokes fun at everything from the ridiculous length of Spawn’s cape to his seemingly endless agonizing over his past life. The humor here is decidedly lowbrow, but it still manages to garner a few chuckles.
