Comic fans who enjoy the parodies in Mad magazine will appreciate this fine spoof of Harbinger and Magnus Robot Fighter. In Parody Press!’s version of things we get the Headbangers, a group of musical mutants in search of a new drummer. The group consists of Sing, who can force villains to break into songs like “The Little Teapot”; Flamenco, who can fry enemies with his hot guitar licks; LedZep, the flying fat fury; and the obligatory girlfriend with no powers but who, at a pivotal plot point, will break up the group.

These teenagers went renegade from the Hamburger Institute when their evil leader tried to talk them into writing a jingle for them. As a result, they now must fight off his Egg-A-Muffinmaker squads at every turn; save the world in the great Unison battle of the bands; and find someone to replace Dorque, their former drummer who inexplicably insists on remaining dead.
