Batman/Danger Girl

Danger Girl is cool. Given her team’s style of crime–fighting, it was only a matter of time before they arrived in Gotham City with their entourage. With international crime on the horizon, Batman would surely be involved. This is the time. When the appearance and subsequent disappearance of a functional mind–control device draws international thief Donavin Conrad into an uneasy alliance with The Joker and his gaggle of giggling goons, only Batman can save the day. That is, until Sydney, Abbey, Deuce, and Valerie arrive fully armed in Gotham Harbor. Sydney and Abbey meet Bruce Wayne en route to take delivery of his new car, and, from there, playboy Bruce Wayne takes over. Andy Hartnell puts Sydney and Abbey face to face with The Joker and Catwoman and right into a battle that only Batman can get them out of. In a cleverly written tale, the sketchy art of Leinil Yu and Gerry Alanguilan distracts the reader just enough to miss the full potential of the team–up. Perhaps inking with a brush and wash would have helped the presentation.
