Board of Superheros

Take a piece of paper. Divide it into quarters. In each quarter, draw the page of a comic. Turn the page over and repeat. Take the completed piece of paper over to the photocopier. Make a trillion copies. Cut in half. Fold. Staple. Congratulations, you’ve just created a mini-comic.

Sure, it sounds easy, but nobody pulls off mini-comics with more style than Matt Feazell, creator of The Amazing Cynicalman. Feazell has a long history of creating amusing little gems, even extending them into “epics” like The Death of Antisocialman. Board of Superheros (sic) is a wonderful title that takes super-heroics from secret hangouts or exalted palaces like the Hall of Justice and puts the group in question into an ordinary, thankless workplace. Here Boardman, Stickboy, Psycho Woman, Cynicalman, Lizard Girl, Captain Videotape, and the Human Fence compete for status, deal with downsizing, and battle the occasional crazed co-worker.
