In the distant future, Earth has depleted most of its natural resources. The United Nations has joined with the mysterious Lampblack Corp., headed by the equally mysterious Judecca Lampblack, in an effort to explore the galaxy for additional resources. All is not as it seems, however, as readers discover that Judecca has an agenda of her own ... one that does not necessarily benefit the rest of humanity. It falls to expedition leader Jackstraw Sabbath to unravel the truth behind Judecca's intentions and to save the planet from her dark designs.
