Paul the Samurai

Paul the Samurai is a spinoff from the comedy series, The Tick. The Tick is a lovable, nigh-invulnerable, super-hero who makes up with gusto what he lacks in brains.

Paul the Samurai originally appeared in The Tick #4, proved to be a fan favorite, then starred in a three-issue mini-series before moving into this solo series in 1992. The strength of this series lies in its incredible weirdness. Paul has traveled from Japan and is now living in the mixed-up world of the Tick. He attempts to follow the way of Bushido (valuing honor above life), but finds it hard to keep that Zen feeling when he must contend with the incredible weirdness that his life has to offer.

Fans of the Tick and Paul the Samurai will also enjoy Man-Eating Cow and Chainsaw Vigilante.
