Caffeine

Caffeine is a humorous showcase for the work of cartoonist Jim Hill. Hill brings an edgy, angry feel to his work, which here centers around a crew of amusingly dysfunctional twenty-somethings. Included is a nymphomaniac with a psychotic husband, a pair of road-tripping buddies discussing chicken-fried steak on their way to a trip with destiny, and the incredibly hostile, but oh-so-hip Alice Armour.

In addition to these misfits, Hill also includes prize rant pieces like, “I’m so Pissed!” which tear into everything from hippies to karaoke. Finally, there’s the adventures of Disco Mail Man, whose urge to “lighten up” and “let the good vibes flow” is curbed by a truncheon-wielding cop, out for blood in enforcing the “no disco zone.”
