The Beverly Hillbillies

One of the most popular TV sitcoms of the 1960s (in fact, some of the episodes aired during early 1964 are still some of the most widely-watched half-hour programs of all time) and are basically a television reworking of the old Ma and Pa Kettle movie series, featuring the adventures of the incredibly ignorant Clampett family. Patriarch Jed Clampett discovered oil on his property and decided that “Californy is the place he ought to be,” so he uprooted his family and used his earnings to purchase a lush mansion in Beverly Hills. Both the TV series and this comic book series lasted from 1962-1971, most featuring photo covers.
