Stryfe’s Strike File

    (Marvel, 1993)
™ and ©1993 Marvel Entertainment Group

Stryfe was the evil and mysterious villain behind the X-Cutioner’s Song crossover series that ran through X-Force, X-Factor, and X-Men in 1992. In that series, Stryfe had orchestrated an elaborate plan to gain revenge on the X-Men, Cable, and especially on the people he considered his deserter parents: Scott Summers (Cyclops) and Jean Grey (Marvel Girl). Readers are led to believe that the baby who Scott and Jean lost to cosmic circumstances in Uncanny X-Men #201 was Stryfe.

Each issue of the X-Cutioner’s song series came polybagged, with a trading card featuring one of the key figures, and a “Stryfe’s Strike File” write-up telling of the character’s significance to Stryfe. Now, in this follow-up, a computer disc is recovered from Stryfe’s base, letting us read not just the snippets covered on the trading cards but the entire strike file.
