JLA Versus Predator

    (DC, 2000)
™ and © DC Comics

The diabolical war-like alien race known as The Dominators is the pivot upon which this crossover between DC and Dark Horse turns. The Dominators, (who can be recognized by a large red dot on their foreheads and their desperate need for orthodontics), first appeared in the company-wide event in 1988’s Invasion. Since that story, they have remained one of the myriad alien threats lurking in the DC universe.

The Predators are savage alien trophy hunters spawned from an Arnold Schwazenegger movie to become one of Dark Horse’s franchises. The Dominators, ever trying to get others to fight their battles for them, decide that this bloodthirsty race is just who they need to dispose of the Justice League.

Writer John Ostrander and artist Graham Nolan do a respectable job with this one-shot prestige format project which seems to be more a result of an editorial mandate than a story needing to be told.
