Eclipso: The Darkness Within

    (DC, 1992)
™ and ©1992 DC Comics, Inc.

In 1890, two explorers wandered the jungles of darkest Africa in search of the great black jewel known as the Heart of Darkness. This priceless jewel was rumored to emanate evil, and the natives were loath to approach it. But no such superstition would stop these two explorers, and they entered the cave containing the jewel without fear. When they spied the jewel, however, it suddenly seemed that such a prize was too great to share—and one of the men turned on the other and killed him.

Later the jewel was brought back to England and carved into a thousand identical pieces. Over the next hundred years, these pieces were spread across the globe. Today, the pieces seem to have come alive, causing their owners to perform horrible deeds…

…and on the dark side of the moon, a man named Eclipso sits ready to usher in a new era of evil.
