Kiku San

Sometimes it seems that Barry Blair is responsible for most of the titles that Aircel Comics ever published. This prolific writer and artist created Warlocks, Team Nippon, Body Count, Ripper, Samurai, and numerous other titles at Aircel before moving on to his own Night Wynd studios to create Elflord, Elfheim and other elf-related series. His work continued at WARP Graphics where he drew new adventures for the Elfquest crew.

One can see his affinity towards elves by reading Kiku San. This black-and-white series stars Kiku, a warrior elf, in the modern world. In this world, elves and humans co-exist. They do not, however, get along. Elves are treated terribly by the humans. Only a select few elves have the ability to fight back with any results. Kiku San tries to help a group of elves, only to be taken prisoner. Kiku San knows that the only way to have any kind of a chance is if he can get them to stick together instead of fighting among themselves.
