The future of the New Republic depends on the re-creation of their old protectors, the Jedi Knights. Princess Leia, pregnant with her third child, journeys with her husband, Han Solo, and Chewbaca back to New Alderaan to be with their twin children. Along the way, they find ancient Vima-Da-Boda, whom they believe has ties to the Jedi. Salla Zed, seasoned spacer and former girlfriend of Han, is reluctantly recruited to help them through the spaceport moon of Nar Shaddaa. Luke Skywalker joins with Kam Solusar to investigate an ancient center of Jedi culture.

And the newly cloned Emperor Palpatine returns to regain his lost empire and burn the New Republic to ashes…
