All Star Comics was one of the key comics in DC history. Beginning with a collection of stories featuring such Golden Age heroes as the Flash, Green Lantern, and Hawkman, it moved on with issue #3 to introduce the world to its first super-hero group, the Justice Society of America. This historic team consisted of Batman, Green Lantern, Doctor Fate, the Atom, the Flash, Hawkman, the Spectre, Hourman, Superman, and the Sandman.

All Star struck gold again with issue #8 with the introduction of Diana Prince, Wonder Woman. It continued to feature The JSA, Wonder Woman, and other characters until the series faded from view in 1951 with issue #57. A quarter of a century later, the series was revived briefly, featuring a variety of DC super-heroes. However, this renaissance was short-lived, and two years later this legendary series seemed to have once-again run its course, ending with 1978’s issue #68.
