In this second, 136–page TPB installment of Thomas Zahler’s Raider narrative, the eponymous super–spy investigates the source of a deadly disease caused by genetic engineering. Raider works unofficially alongside the clandestine United Nations agency known as Benefactor, organized specifically to combat Dominator, the global consortium bent on, yep, world domination. In A Cold Day in Heaven, Raider confronts some important figures from his past in Chicago and Philadelphia before breaking into a massive underground Dominator complex in Colorado. This volume advances Raider’s knowledge of his enigmatic history and ends with a cliffhanger where Raider learns some disquieting news about his destiny.
