Skizz

If only he hadn’t been in such a hurry to reach the Formelhaut ore discussions; if only his ship hadn’t needed makeshift repairs en route; if only he hadn’t decided to take a short cut through the restricted belt…then Interpreter Zhcchz wouldn’t have crashed upon that strange blue planet called Earth.

His shipboard computer congratulated him upon surviving a crash that had a 79 percent probability of fatality, but of course, since advanced technology couldn’t be allowed to fall into the hands of primitives, his ship informed Zhcchz that it would have to self-destruct with him inside. Only by stripping off all his advanced gear did Zhcchz persuade it to let him out before it blew up.

Now the cute, friendly little alien is alone on a very nasty planet. Taken in by a woman named Roxy (who calls him “Skizz”), he has to learn to live with those crazy humans.
