Nodwick Adventure Logs

    (Henchman, 2004)
™ and © Henchman

Since Dragon Magazine #246, Aaron Williams has put Artax the warrior, Yeagar the mage, and Piffany the cleric through their adventuring paces on a regular basis; they fight evil, right wrongs and depress the local economy with wagonloads of gold pieces. But the main character in his world of high adventure and higher silliness is Nodwick, a generic henchman who is used by the group as a combination pack mule and monster detector. Despite taking all of the risks and most of the poisoned orc arrows, he doesn't even get a share of the magic items because he’s a salaried employee (although Piffany doesn't spare the duct tape when it becomes necessary to put him back together). Nodwick: Adventure Log features his first seventy four–panel strips; also included are parodies of classic D&D modules and the official 2001 movie, and some of Williams's early cartoon submissions to Dragon.
